(10 <<<< | >>>>) [30 Mar 2005|08:56am] [ mood | ahhhh...!... ] [ music | daft punk ] lately all that has been on the news is this terri schiavo case. i really dont understand what is so difficult about it. the woman went from this to this the whole reason terri is like this is because she had an eating disorder that 15 years ago made her heart stop for 5 minutes allowing no oxygen flow into the brain causing horrendous brain damage that has left her with a blob that probably has the consistency of oatmeal in her head. we can see that she is still alive but with what kind of quality? she has been a vegetable for over 10 years. people protest now that her feeding tube has been removed it is "cruel and unusual punishment" that "her strong will to live will keep her alive". and although terri's husband michael has been legally named her guardian her parents have tried to get their daughter a divorce while she rots in her hospice bed. the parents have even irritated the courts enough to get an emergency petition to get her feeding tube reinserted even though michael had repeatedly said that her wishes would have been to have it removed. i find it is ridiculous what people are willing to try to make this woman suffer.

(10 <<<< | >>>>) [13 Mar 2005|01:02am] [ mood | critic ¡ ] [ music | lets cause a scene like lovers do, on silver screens ] movie : hostage i went into this movie thinking it was going to be really stupid. and it turned out to be amazing. ok. so. midnight bowling in s.f. didnt really sound so hot (especialy with no jeshequahhh) so i went to a movie instead ^. hint: when someone asks you if you want a "combo" at the movie theatre just say no. back to the movie, the plot was generic and not too terribly strong but i fell in love with the cinematography and symbolism. the director, florent siri, must be a fucking genius (any one heard of him or know anything about his other work>?) he took a screenplay that seems basic and dull and turned it into a movie that not only did i watch the whole way through but i did not get up once to do shit. and it wasnt one of those movies that just drags on and on and on, i barely noticed that i was in there for almost 2½ hours. oh... jesus. just go out and see it!
